Bernard R. Fielding received a Bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and L.L.D. from Boston University School of Law. He has practiced law for 50 years in Charleston SC and is the first African American elected to the Charleston County probate Court. Fielding served as the associate probate judge for 14 years and as the elected Probate Judge for 4 years. He is married to Conchita L. Fielding, secretary to the corporation’s current board, they have two children: Bernard R. Fielding, Jr. and Constance F. Person. He is proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. fraternity. Bernard R. Fielding has served as president and chief executive officer of the firm since approximately 1984.

Herbert joined the firm full time in 1948 after returning from service in the army, graduation from West Virginia State University, and attendance at Renouard Embalming School. He is vice president of the firm, and serves as comptroller and director of operations. He is a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and serves on the Vestry of the Church and the Sea Island Comprehensive Health Care Board of Directors, and is a life member of the NAACP. He is an ardent small game hunter, and also enjoys fishing. He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
